This collaboration means, drivers will now be able to obtain real time reports of routes, traffic conditions and weather as they drive towards any five destinations.
From the driver’s seat, you can issue out voice commands to the set. This feature provides safe driving and removes the burden of having to watch the GPS screen to type commands. The GO 740 LIVE also features street name announcement that reassures the driver that they are on the right route or help to reroute their way if they are mistaken.
The wireless connectivity assures continued access to traffic data and weather reports. Also included is the advanced IQ Routes that quickly calculates the fastest way to get to a destination by analyzing the historical driving and navigational data of the driver.
With the MicroSD card, you can be able to add more memory to the system to help you upload more POIs and digital maps. You also have a 5 Day weather forecast to help you plan accurately.
For drivers eating on the road, you have a constantly updated list of restaurants nearby and what type of payment they accept.
Limitations of tomtom go 740 live GPS
The stem is very close when making route calculations. Other functionalities work well however.
Despite the advanced reporting that Map Share and IQ Routes technologies offers, the TomTom Go 740 Live GPS still suffers some few limitations. The icons are poorly organized and therefore difficult to read quickly – a feature drivers will want to see improved upon. Route cancellation is also hectic – requiring several presses to delete it from the system. It is also difficult to continue from a sub menu without going through the start screen.
However I am pretty much happy with Nokia maps
