Hi all , first all apologies for being out of blogging for a long time. However , better late than never. So, here I am with a new design for the blog.
Dont go on the name of the theme, while thinking of the name, just clicked and I named it “The Dunes” . It was nearly 8 months when this blog got re-designed with the theme called “Content”. Initially everything seemed fine , but later things turned out a bit messy. Since it was my first theme design, I missed out many points. Moreover the theme was heavy as loads of images were used for the rounded corners and also always looked very plain.
The Dunes
The main design element have not changed here. The theme follows the same color scheme as “The Content”. The major change here is that this theme don’t use any rounded corners and also, Sidebar is now independent of the content of the page.
I kept myself in a normal visitors shoes, and tried my max to keep the design simple as well as with simple user navigation.
Second change is the Comment section. I have installed threaded comments plugin which gives you a very flexible usage of comment section provided by wordpress. I think its a must have for blogs.
I am still on wordpress 2.3.3 and thought that I will upgrade to wordpress 2.6 with the release of this new theme. But it seems many plugins are still incompatible with this version of wordpress ( like Show top commetator, Popularity contests etc ). Hence, let me wait for some more time.

The theme need optimization with IE6, but I am just feeling so lazy to actually try doing it. Anyways, just trying to work out things…

New design Looks good. Upgrade as early as possible to wp 2.6
Show top cpmmentators is compatible with 2.6, i am using it.
Theme looks nice, however ur previous theme was my personal fav. Also, try to cleanup the header image that has logo - I guess too many things stuffed there resulting in lose of focus. Rest its good good
Sorry davinder, as your comment went in moderation. Previous theme was very plain … and used lots of images. However rounded corner themes are always good
… Let me see how can i clean the header images.. however there are not much things 
… only few gadgets which I blog about 
The new design looks good, though the first scroll takes up more space.
Congrats on the new design. The colors are not much appealing but they blend ads more efficiently.
Good redesign and overall arrangement looks great. I liked the header as well.
BTW do not mention that you are running on a lower version of wordpress, blog could be prone to hacks. Upgrade as soon as possible.

… the color combination is more or less the last theme … inspired by wii ( as per colorlovers) … this was the first time while designing the theme .. i considered ad placements

yeah the old theme has my pic at the top .. hence it gave the brand for the blog… I am just looking out options to include one here tooo :D..

Looks good! Better than the last theme.
What needs to be tweaked:
- 250X250 gfx looks amateurish.
- Why so many articles in the recent posts and related post? IMo 4-5 is the right number.
- It took some time for me to figure out where the search bar was.
- 4 ‘advertise here’ doesn’t look good. Seems desperate and might turn off potential Advertisers. Fill up some buttons (with any of the aff. links/blog theme etc.) and let one only be with the ‘advertise here’ one.

Actually speaking … i never wanted 4 advertise me button to display there.. it was just for testing purpose .. while doing theme on localhost .. and after uploading the theme just got out of my mind to change it ….will be changing it asap…
