Its new, its fresh and its GREEN. I have been really busy working with the new design as I had set the launch date deadline by Oct 1st 2010. Till couple of days back, I was sure that I am going to miss it as making it Internet Explorer 6 compatible was a hefty task. But somehow things worked on and here is Tecfre.com with a brand new design. I recently started blogging again and a design change was much required due to various shortcomings in previous theme. Tecfre.com has undergone design changes in history many times. Below pic could give you more insight on the design change this blog has gone through from the time it was started in May,2007
This design change took nearly half a month and going Green was a pretty easy to decide.
New Features with New Tecfre.com
New design bring some very important features for me which lacked in previous design :
- Featured Posts Slider on home page
- Widgetized Sidebar ( So no more need of editing the template file)
- Better comment Management with Disqus comment plugin
- Front page posts with thumbnails
- Faster loading time compared to previous theme due optimized placement of java scripts
I was just going through the revisions this design has gone through and its amazing the way this theme came up in the end. If possible, I will share it next week. Below is the screen shot of previous design of Tecfre.com.
