Finally there is an alternative to Add/Remove program option in windows. Downloadsquad has made me aware about this software which is called “MyUninstaller” by nirsoft and can be downloaded from the website here.
You will be downloading the software in a zipped file which is amazingly less than 100 KB. The zip file is less than 50 KB. With such a small size the amount of information this software provides is huge with Product version , installer name , installed location etc . Few can be seen in the screen shot below.
Quoting the working at website :
MyUninstaller simply run the uninstall module provided by the software that you want to uninstall. So, if from some reason the uninstall process fails, you should contact the author of the software that you want to uninstall, not to the author of MyUninstaller.
It took nearly 5 seconds of scan the 114 application installed on my PC. The best advantage is that its a standalone application , so you will never have to install anything on your PC to make it run and due to its small size , it can be attached in email or can be carried in memory stick anywhere.
Windows add/remove utility has it own features and drawbacks. Well frankly speaking I never used to like that coz of its very slow start, but since, now i have to alternative , I will never go back to windows Add / Remove .

I’ve trashed the default Add or Remove programs module that comes with XP.
I use ZSoft uninstaller
my favourite.
