Sharper Image produces a cheaper way to listen to your music without tripping on wires. The company has produced a wireless speaker that you can place 10 meters from your home theater or even bring it out totally. You have the choice. The device works on any electronic or electrical equipment that has an earphone jack. You will simply fix the transmitter to the jack and then you have the sound beaming to your speakers. The sound can be carried away as far as 160 meters which is enough to extend your stereo audio output to your garden or parlor.

This is a modest alternative to a home theater for it provides that rich bass that users will find in standard systems. For ease of use and to minimize walking to and from the set, the manufacturer placed volume controls on top the speakers. The system was meant to be used outdoors too. It has a weather proof coating so you can place outside for long durations without loss of quality. If you live in an area without reliable AC power, you can use batteries to power the speakers.

At $69.99, the wireless speaker with transmitter makes a welcome piece of gadget for young people seeking to extend their music and game sounds to the corridor or park. It also makes a suitable product to take away with you on hiking or camping.

There’s not many wireless speakers out in the market and they are still pretty expensive. Also the signal can be interferred with since it uses radion frequency signal..

Well my parents have a transmitter to send tv signals and audio to another room. A vcr and tv play it there. You could do this but somewhere along the way you’ll need an amp/receiver to power the speakers. the unit works with video and audio rca jacks so should work like this.

If the speakers are on the same frequency as the transmitter. However, I would assume that if each had its own transmitter they could be different frequencies for left and right.

No you can not convert speaker level to line level even though they do have similar looking plugs on them. However, if your unit has a tape record output or a line out you can hook that directly to your wireless transmitter with no problems. You can also use the headphone output from your unit and run that to the wireless transmitter but that will cut off your main speakers.

The best way to do this is with remote control modules. This would save you a lot time and money on FCC certification fees.check out http://www.ramsey.com ramsey electronics.

They may not be compatible you’ll need to check with customer service with the sound card and speaker manufacturer. Before I spent money on the sound card I would see what speakers it was compatible with and then go from there.

Only one will work at a time. I have a aux in, video output, audio output and a coaxial output. And of course a headphone in but if I plug it into that it immediately shuts down the wired speakers. Which is what I’m trying not to do. I want them to work simultaneously. My wireless speaker has a regular single post connection.

Also the signal can be interferred with since it uses radion frequency signal. Stay with wire speakers for now. You’ll have to read the owners manual on your wireless speaker for the connection and operation.
