As far as I can see it allows a player with a usb output connection to be plugged into the hifi for playback purposes.

You can play anything back from any medium. Essentially you are accessing a data file so it doesn’t matter how it is stored. The main thing is that you have a media player installed that can playback divx files like VLC media player for instance.

There is usually an option that comes with the software, if any. And if not, try adjusting the microphone volume from the sound properties.

It don’t play DVD from the head so no hack is needed nor applicable for that model. It does have A/V inputs to connect external video sources to which can be watched while driving. Just don’t let the cops see it on while driving.
