TVs do not pass surround sound, so you must send it directly from the source. In this case you are correct about sending the video from the PS3 to the TV via HDMI, but the audio must be sent from the PS3 to the Pioneer via optical (bitstream). Adjust your PS3 video and audio output settings accordingly and enjoy.

Here's the magic of how an antenna works. You stick it up on your roof.all the RF transmissions coming from the towers float through the air, hit the antenna and the signal travels down the cable into your TV.

It will be impossible to find a "quality" home theater setup for less than 200 dollars. That being said, you can get a sub-par setup for less than 200, and i would say that a bad system is better than no system.

Most of these have multiple audio (like your tape deck) and multiple video (VCR, DVD Player, etc) inputs. If your reciever has multiple audio inputs, then Yes you can.

You have one antenna with a rotator on your roof and let's say...6 TV's. Now, you can use signal splitters and hook those 6TV's up and each one will be able to watch a different channel...after all, all this thing is doing is grabbing all the airwaves and sending them down a coax line.

Expecting an audible improvement from a power cable is like expecting that leather seats will make a car accelerate faster when the windows are open!
