.. Symbian guru has the video proof.. N95 rocks
Yeah it was my new year present to myself
, I finally ended up buying Nokia N95 8gb. It came with a two year warranty and SpiderMan 3 full movie. I was trying to get a hang of it with loads of extra features compared to my Nokia N93. Larger Screen 2.8 inch screen , 6.5 gb of free memory (yeah i found only 6.5 gb free as nearly 1gb was captured by Spiderman) , black glossy sexy looks , an improved 5 mp camera and many more. Today when I completed installing all the drivers, and PC suit, i got the information popping up about a new firmware update available for N95 8gb.
I was surprised, and quickly searched the internet about the change log. Well, I got a nifty little information over all about symbian that it now supports the normal desktop version of youtube and some speed boost. Since, the phone was pretty new and the phone memory almost empty, there was no harm in updation, and also testing the new browser capability was getting me excited.
Firmware update reset the phone into factory settings. So in order to check the browser capability, I just logged in into Youtube desktop version(using wifi connection), and tried to play a video but it didnt work.
I got the message
“Either Javascript is switched off, or you are running an old version of flash player” (javascript was enabled)
Well, as posted in all about sybian , the latest firmware updates the browser and embeds adobe flash lite 3 . But youtube video doesnt work for me. I wonder whether I have to install any software to make it work in the browser ?? Any suggestions ??

Meanwhile how about playing flash games on websites. For example the miniclip site? I dont think it can be that easy for a mobile to render all kind of flash works.
This info brings me some fear to my business, running a mobile game development company. Anyway lets see what happens.
But still flash game cant compete with dedicated gaming..isnt it ??
Flash games cannot compete with dedicated games, yes. But developing a game and delivering it to the devices which is a very big hurdle in mobile gaming will become much easier in such case. As developers dont have to depend on the service providers for billing and content delivery.
This reason can have a big effect in the market, I guess.
The only reason I think it happen is when you have a slow internet connection. Seems like N95 has some problem with wifi ( not sure though ) , so when your internet speed on phone is not up to the mark , its giving that message , else its working fine . Hope this helps
