Nokia’s love for Indian market is not hidden anymore. India is a country with worlds largest mobile phone users. With telecom revolution taking place in India, its right time for Nokia to invest and cash a long term profit.

This 75 Million investment for year 2008, is geared towards enhancing the capacity of the manufacturing plant to cater to the burgeoning need of the Indian and other emerging markets. Quoting from nokia press release ,

We are extremely pleased with the progress made by our manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The decision to make additional investment in the plant is a reflection of Nokia’s commitment to the Indian mobile communications industry and of the increasing demand for mobile devices from Asia, Middle East and Africa. Nokia will continuously strengthen its manufacturing network to drive greater agility within the business and increase its competitiveness

The figures are amazing, approximately 50 percent of the production from the plant is consumed domestically and the rest is exported to countries across Middle East and Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Middle East??? Well I had the feeling that Nokia authorized dealers in Middle east sell units made in Finland …….

nokia is a fast growing company with a lot of talents and hard work. The cellphones they produce is very easy to use, but sometimes get old because they always release new series very fast.

Speaking of their products, they should really keep in mind their quality, sometimes the product quality in the cellphone market is questionable, although there is guarantee, a lot of consumers in Indonesia often find hardware problems in their cellphone.

    So whats up Nokia?
