I recall the early days of the mobile phone. Nokia used to produce very simple phones with basic features. These phones were so practical that almost everyone with the least technical knowledge was able to use them. But the company had to change its policies – the users became so advanced that a phone without a camera, multimedia messaging or GPS will be ignored. Nokia adapted and I think it has adapted well. Since the introduction of its N series, the company has come to be a leading manufacturer when it comes to 3G or hi tech phones. The recent release of the 6350 cell phone adds to that innovativeness.

Of particular note in this rankles is the form factor design – Nokia made the 6350 a clamshell which has the effect of comfort and easy use in the palm. Aside the aesthetics, clam shells are quite light and facilitate use of the phone. Following in the pattern of recent manufacturer releases, the 6350 will allow easy connection to favorite social networking sites like Facebook. You can also reach your YouTube listings in no time as it will work over the 3G HSDPA connectivity provided by AT&T.

It’s a surprise that NOKIA located the music controls outside the phone. Perhaps the reason is to allow easy and quick access to your favorite sound even you have closed the clamshell. The talk time of 4 hours is something that is quite disappointing on this set. With advances in battery technology over the years, the expectation was that NOKIA will give users something more enduring in power.

The Nokia 6350 answers two basic questions of users – a cheap phone yet sophisticated in function. That’s what the cell phone is. The phone will particularly suit students or low income users who cannot afford to splash so much to get a hands on experience of what a modern phone has to offer. For existing phone users who need to just make and receive calls, this phone satisfies that need too.

I recommend the Nokia 6300. It doesn’t do HTML but it does just about everything else, is slim, light and has a large display. It is also robust as the casing is made of mainly stainless steel. It has a recessed on/off button so no embarassing turning on of the phone in your pocket if you knock it etcetera. It looks cool too.

I noticed when I send text messages the word *high* is my signature. I don’t know how that happened but all i can think of is back when I used this phone someone was playing with it and changed my signature to that. I know I sure didn’t but we were 13 at the time and playing with each others cell phones was very entertaining.

Nokia is working toward the future of phones and mobile communication devices with their new concept phone, the Nokia “Scentsory”. This new mobile device uses the sense of smell, sight, hearing, and touch to create a multiscensory environment for the caller. Scentsory would be able to detect, send, and emit smells, as well as radiate colors, lighting, and temperature from the environment of the caller. Dual screens can be used for personal video messaging as well as watching videos.

I would recommend, besides a Sony Ericsson, they have business phones and multimedia phones, will alway find one to suit your needs-i own a Sony Ericsson M600i-good for both business and multimedia-check out ebay for fairly cheap phones.

A few months after a new phones has come out, prices start to go down for those phones before even newer models come out. It a good time to buy now before any new one come out on the market.
