Hey did you get excited after reading the title of this post ?? Are these most awaited features in your list for your mobile phone ?? Well !! not unless you are owning an iPhone !!!
If you don’t own an iPhone, then, did you think that the title of this post is about the mobile phones produced in early 90s?? Absolutely not !! This title is all about June 2009, when the new iPhone is slated for launch.
We all know apple is a trendsetter, but again , why so much fuss ?? We see nearly all the blogs posting it as a breaking news , but is apple going to do something out of the world?? iPhone may be the most technologically advanced phone, owning which, was initially considered as the true happiness. But again, I think video recording is basic mobile phone standard. Even a camera , a high megapixel camera, is now a standard. Sony is even out with 12 megapixel camera phone.
Again, coming back to the consumer expectation, seems like apple is going to fail miserably this time. Not adding any more phones to its portfolio and just revamping the existing one, is not going to help apple this time.
Apple gained success in music market with Ipod, whose success was highly justified at that time due to high storage and lack of competition. But for iPhone, things are very different. There is enough competition with LG , Samsung and even Nokia.
Luring consumers with features which are already available and providing the same in just a revamped model is something which I hope, Apple don’t try out now. I wonder, if the new iPhone will actually gain any groundbreaking success this time.
I hope apple try to do something out of the box like HD recording, one touch online video sharing, completely refreshed design ( I wont mind iPhone flip ) , unlocked with proper price tag.
If apple fail to do this, we might see another iPhone failure story; after all iPhone is now not even among top 10 selling phones in March 2009.
