Gateway has recently extended its FX6800 series with various upgraded models. Aside the name itself, Gateway introduced many new functionalities and capabilities along with technological advancement in its line of business.
Starting with the processor, the new Gateway machine leverages on the power of Intel’s latest CPU technology, the Core i7 920 processor. This power makes the desktop serve as a power station for gamers, high end graphics users and even video editors who need fast access to and from their programs. With 6GB of RAM and 1TB of Seagate hard drive, the FX6800-09 is fit for many business and programmer use.
Multiple connectivity options with Music capabilities
It is generously fitted with two USB ports and a multi card reader at the top. It has a FireWire 40 port as well. Now at the back of the system where you usually find the audio ports, you have 6 USB ports. This emphasis on USB ports was made for a definite reason. It will enable the user to connect several USB devices at once. The limitation of 1 USB port per laptop has been so instant source of worry to Pc users who mostly want to connect several devices at once.
Music enthusiasts will go for the surround speaker system that offers a simulation of a home theater experience. This audio output enables gamers to obtain high quality gaming and also be able to listen to their MP3 sound files in an enhanced form.
The limitation of only 1 PCI Express for the desktop is a minus.
For office use, the aesthetics of the FX6800-09 is something a user will like it for. Many of the ports are concealed; giving the PC a more refined look. The machine also has a silverfish black color tone that complements the decor of a modern office environment.
