Mozilla Firebug extention has got memory leak bug

    It hurts when I have to uninstall firefox extension “FireBug” which always helped me in re-building my website. But i was left with no other option till I encounter this alarming stats in my task manager .

    For the last couple of weeks , my computer was getting slow in a strange manner. At times to recognize keystrokes , it was taking seconds .. which was bugging me to the core. Finally today when i got some time , I thought of analyzing it. I was noticing sudden boost in Mozilla’s memory usage. I was using Firefox 2.0.0.4 and as per cybernetnews Firefox 2.0 has 13 memory leaks fixed compared to previous versions.

    I searched and even this article was not able to help till much extent. Starting firefox will take the memory usage to 60k memory . I dont know why !! Anyway Elliott found his problem fixed by uninstalling firebug and I was also left with no other option other than doing the same.
    I can say that it has improved my system performance to some extent. Keystrokes takes no more seconds to get identified.
    May be I will install firebug next when i will be developing my own theme now. Till then I am sticking to this 3column Pressrow theme.

    no wonder Firefox was so slow for the past few weeks. :( by the way you can have multiple profiles in firefox with different extensions

    @arpit ..will multiple profiles help?? After all the instance of firefox is the same
