Sony Ericsson has unveiled 3 new models of Bluetooth-watches on 14th june along with 6 other phones. Sony gave the event the name as “THE NEXT BIG THING”.
Sony joined with Fossil(world’s expert in watch technology) for this the new line up of MBW-150 Bluetooth watches.The watches with contemporary design are also equipped with advanced Bluetooth technology. The product comes in 3 editions: Music, Classic and Executive.
Music
The Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 Music Edition is made in black with orange details.
Executive
The Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 Executive Edition has a classical stainless steel bracelet.
Classic
The Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 Classic Edition features a leather strap and black face.
Scratch resistant watches
All the MBW-150 models are eqipped with scratch-resistant mineral crystal glass face with an antiglare coating. The look like a regular watch , but does much much more than that.The Discreet OLED display activates when in use. Besides Bluetooth technology, quartz analog precision movement, plus a digital time display synchronized with the phone, make sure that you won’t miss anything.
It vibrates on your wrist
Anytime you have an incoming call or a text message, Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 will gently vibrate on your wrist, so with a quick glance you can see the caller ID on the display. Lightly touch a button on the watch to decide whether to reject or mute the call or take it by pressing the answer key on your headset or phone
Auto pairing function enables automatic connection with the phone, so there is no problem with the connection.The functionality is extended as you can change the music track and adjust the volume using this gadget on your wrist.
But still the functionality is limited to a little more than a pairing device, but still lacks the functionality of a mobile phone watch as available in water resistant mobile phone watch M500.
Moreover synchronization with mobile phonebook is not mentioned , as displaying just the mobile number is not enough, it should have the capability to display the name stored in the phone book also.
Just imagine it starts vibrating when you are writing something . The solution seems to be feasible in terms of technological advancement , but in real time , I doubt it will a successful implementation of a pairing device for a mobile.
