Link attack on tecfre.com #1 : Blog’s journey for May 2007

Today is the day , the blog is 4 months old. I started writing this post on 27 of this month and hope to finish it withing five days. This post I will actually try to get my maximum posts linked.

MAY 2007

The blog started 4 months back on 1st May where I posted my first post. Since I always enchanted with mobiles , I wrote a post on how to decide buying a good mobile . Microsoft paint is an amazing software whose capabilities i always underestimated until I saw one guy drawing a Lamborghini Murcilago in it. Couple of days before one of my office collegue asked me how to download videos from youtube, and hence I searched and finally figured out keepvid to download and convert videos and peekvid to watch movies online.
Google’s april fool hoaxes were some of the best ones. It was the time when nokia E90 was really rocking my senses and I wrote one of my most popular small preview about nokia E90. Being at Dubai where ISD calls are just so costly, I was trying to find out ways to get things at a cheaper rate. But going to a Cafe and use Voip was not my choice. I wanted something suitable for my nokia n93. Again google and got Mobile voip part one and part two.

Well , with ISP etisalat banning most of the sites, I needed to find some ways to unblock certain stuff. My friend told me that there are proxy websites through which we can browse blocked websites. It did work but not for much time. Same time in news i heard about sms spoofing, which is now become a critical issue as you can send sms from any number to any number. Same time leaked pictures of Nokia N81 and N82 , microsoft’s Ophone and hotmail successor’s announcements were highlighted on the internet.

I was getting to know blogging and was having a plan of having a forum in my blog. Well, call it initial excitement of having forum, and becoz of that my blog went dead for 4 days. I was much impressed with BBpress coz of it’s integrity with wordpress and hence I posted more about bbpress , top 10 plugins for BBpress and about my site’s redesign as the forum was with light background and site with dark background of redoable theme. While working on this I tried to keep my blog alive by posting about Sony Ericsson’s rumored choclate concept phone , Sony’s W880i review and about the world’s first A4 size LCD display by LG.

I am a great fan of mobile phones and hence I didnt spend much time in finding the top 5 most awaited mobile phones of year 2007 followed by top 10 applications for symbian mobiles. Yahoo went unlimited in space somewhere around that time, and also first trojan for Symbian S60 was discovered at that time. Also I posted about how to buy a good digital camera which was appreciated by many of my colleagues. I started visiting some blogs and found many were not using related posts and post count wordpress plugins.

It was that time when I found one amazing gadget i.e backward clock , where everything was just opposite to the normal clock. Visiting many sites made me aware of Google trends and one easter egg in Internet Explorer.

With Slim digital camera’s getting high on megapixels , they seemed like competing with SLR’s and also, I found it really hard to understand the megapixel race in mobiles , where i felt even though mobile camera are getting high megapixel but the sensor is the same, hence just increasing the resolution but picture quality getting degraded. That article also pose some ways to test camera of mobile phones. Same time fisherman in South Korea were using mobile technology to locate fishes, and I was trying to find out my mini office in my mobile phone.

Dreamhost starting troubling me in the first month itself. But still my quest to know more about the technology toys didnt stop. I posted about world’s first waterproof camcorder Sanyo Xacti , waterproof and weather proof LCD monitor and about technology getting slim and waterproof by combining both the articles adding extra information.

Gaming world was also on high with NFS 2007 teaser trailer released on youtube. Personally i didnt like that trailor that much. One rumor was there about Iphone getting integrated with GPS next year. Also interesting news about Zombies invading apple’s store and one interesting video showing you how you will reach office in 2020 and about an amazing music machine. Samsung became Nokia’s vendor for LCD screens. Surely this is gonna increase the quality of nokia screen in near future.

Sony got sued by some UK based company over blue ray discs and Iphone and LG prada left me confused about who is copying who.

In the midst of these articles, came the redesign of this blog by the end of the month.

During the last two days of May, I posted article about photography tips at night, as being interested in photography, I found it pretty difficult to take pictures at night. I tried to warn bloggers, to think again if they are planning to bomb google.

Last day of the May month was making me drool over gadgets and I posted about water resistant M500 Watch. Microsoft surface was released around that time . Last days of that month were also happening for google. Mylivesearch got launched nearly 1 week before and seems to be full of bugs. It needs user to install a plugin for bowser. The results are taken from google or yahoo based on user selection and then mylivesearch spiders updates the results.For me the results extraction is really slow and I dont think it would mark a groudbreaking search technology as initially declared by mylivesearch. Do give it a try .

So this was my blogs journey for May month. You can call it a amateurish journey as that was the time I was learning about blogging. This post has more than 40 links and yeah in days to come I will complete the full blog summary for four months, and then this blog summary will take place every month.
