Update : Seems like again the Australian Scientist has fired back. Read it here at engadget.
There was a news some days ago that Laser printers are very injurious to health and the danger was compared with cigarettes.

This was found by the Australian scientists from Queensland University of Technology , who tested nearly 60 to 70 laser printers (out of which 17 were judged highly dangerous) and finally concluded that these printers emit micro particles which can cause serious danger to lungs and can also result in diseases like Cancer etc.
This news created a major concern all over the world because this was the first time something like was figured out of printers after computer monitor’s electromagnetic radiations. I even got fwd emails which quoted the possible effects of using a laser printer.
HP today said that it totally disagree with the claims of the scientists as testing of ultra-fine particles was still “a very new scientific discipline” and that there were “no indications that ultra-fine particle emissions from laser printing systems are associated with special health risks“. Hence they are waiting for more evidence.
Well according to me it seems to be a pretty serious matter. With the ever developing IT industry, printers are just a non-detachable part of a daily enterprise life. With lakhs of people using laser printers everyday , are they actually exposing themselves to a great health risk ??
I hope the real evidence are out as fast as possible and the printer manufacture companies come out with an alternate solution as early as possible, once the danger of printers are exposed.
I wonder sometimes, without proper or actual findings is it necessary to create a big Hoax ??
