Some time back I posted about the initial Iphone effect which beat all the other mobile giants in customer satisfaction rating and also proved highly profitable for AT&T.

Here is a latest Iphone effect which is going to prove very hard on all the other mobile companies like nokia, sony, which are highly specialized in making complex and feature rich smartphones.

The news is that Iphone has Outsold every Smartphone in July Month accounting for 1.8 percent of all U.S. mobile handset sales.

Mind you, with so many limitations, and so many prediction made about the failure of Iphone because of :

• Sealed battery
• Absence of 3g
• High price
• Lack of GPS

These statistics do prove that, anything innovative, with proper marketing will surely hit the taste of success. With user’s so much impressed with the revolutionary UI of Iphone, the above stated downsides, were pretty minimal and they hardly cared for them.

I think its time for mobile manufactures to take a lesson and learn that friendly UI, integrated with innovative technology and proper marketing are more than enough to score a high success.

Nokia, in its go-play event declared that :

If there’s something good in the world, we proudly copy it.

And they have full fledged plan of copying as seen in the following video :

I am unable to understand !!

I can again see that these mobile manufactures are into a race to beat Iphone. I wonder, does Iphone mark the end of mobile phone UI or these mobile manufactures are just incapable to think outside the box of Iphone? Also, why nokia need to copy Iphone’s UI when they already have amazing view of the future interfaces?? Do share your views with comments.
