Yeah its true, search engine google is trying to find out the possibilities. I stumbled on the website and reached the howstuffworks page to find out a new news. Google’s being a huge IT giant is very concerned about the global warming , air pollution and fuel efficiency.
As many of you might know that google launched the black version of search engine called blackle which is able to save around 750 megawatt hours of energy per year. (Blackle is not realted to Google) Explanation given is as follows :

Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.”

Many of us might be unaware of the philanthropic arm of Google google.org is working on a project recharge it to get a plugin-hybrid car which can run nearly 100 miles /gallon.

How does plugin Hybrid Car works ??

A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (plug-in hybrid or PHEV) is a hybrid vehicle whose battery you can charge by plugging in to a standard 120 volt outlet at home or work.
Howstuffworks explained the working of hybrid cars which is summarized as

Current hybrid vehicles have a gasoline engine that is assisted by an electric motor, which helps it save gas. A typical hybrid vehicle conserves fuel a few different ways. It recaptures energy lost through braking and decelerating. This recaptured energy is stored in a battery pack as electricity. As demand warrants, the stored electricity is used to power an electric motor that assists the vehicle’s gasoline engine–usually during acceleration.

    Google’s fleet

Google has explained every bit of information on its page rechargeIT.org . It has placed certain comparison between the normal fleet and google’s fleet of vehicles.

You tube features a video which describes plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, vehicle to grid (V2G) as part of Google.org’s RechargeIT project.

Google’s concern on global warming is really appreciative . With rising global temperature (which has risen more that half a degree ) , it really make sense that all the companies take a collective step to combat this , else it will be too late.

Your motives should be that you need reliable transportation, you want to save money on fuel and you want to make the world a greener place by lessening your carbon footprint.

Right now is a good time to purchase a Camry Hybrid in the USA because the price of gas is down and the overall car sales market is down.
