Held up with Work ? Or just that its working hours and you cant watch videos ? or Video buffering is taking a lot of time or let it be some other reason !!! Now here the solution to download videos , which you want to keep it with you forever :-).

Everytime I used to visit you tube site, I used to think there should be some way to download the videos somehow, and finally i was able to find out. As most of you will be knowing that the files in You Tube and Google Videos are of FLV ( Flash Live Video) format , you will need a FLV player installed in your system. Even if you dont have FLV player, you have another player called Media Player Classic , which comes bundled in a codec pack called Klite Mega Codec.

The site is called www.keepvid.com. It has a very easy 3 step downloading :

1. Choose the site you want to download from.
2. Copy the link of the page with the video on it and paste it in the textbox above.
3. If you download an flv file, you need an FLV Player.

There are so many places ( mostly Gulf countries ) where you wont be able to see certain videos from youtube because of the content. The static preview would be available but when you click on the link , the page “Site Blocked” will appear. So I was just eager to check whether it will be possible to download such videos and Bingo !!! it works !!!!

All you have to do is , right click the video (from You tube , google video etc) , and select “copy link” and paste this link in the download bar of the keep vid and select download. They will give you a link, clicking on which you will be able to download the file directly to your desktop and can watch them anytime.
