Since the beginning of the year, several laptop manufacturers have made claims that their products were the thinnest and lightest. I almost thought it had ended till the Dell latitude Z Notebook came in. I think this may be end of the war on thinnest and lightest. The Notebook actually weighs 4.5 pounds and is less than 1 inch in thin. In a world where bigger is usually better, will this ultra slim Notebook meet the demands of users?

It looks like it will. The PC features the works first wireless and advanced charging system. It also has spacious touch pad and a glowing backlit keyboard for use in areas with poor illumination. Another interesting feature is the EdgeTouch functionality which allows the user to work on several commonly used programs and media functions from mere touch of a systems screen. Another innovative features the ability of the PC to scan documents and save to the PC. You can even export the output to MS Outlook contacts. For people who need a touch of class, the laptop has a specially designed bag from Cole Haan.

Another function that deserves a special mention on the Z is the level of security Dell gave the Z series. Users have the opportunity to install optional enterprise level security on their machines; providing them with extra security and safety of documents and programs. This option does not burden the CPU such that the system runs slow. You can turn it off anytime you want but is specially recommended for businesses that need to protect customer data or for people working on sensitive documents.

Dell is adding value to the laptop. It gives users the options to subscribe to a 3G broadband internet service if they so wish. Such connectivity will deliver outstanding fast downloads for users and allow users to play multiple player games whilst on the go.

Hi,You don’t really seem to be too hung up on brands, so I would just go to one of the different websites and customize your own laptop. You can pick out speeds, screen size (and because of that, weight), and other things too. Dell, HP, and Mac all have customization features you can use. The biggest differences between computers really are all a matter of personal preference.
