I had serious doubts that the biggest announcement awaits the BIG day. And with Nokia booklet 3g , Nokia N900 , Nokia 5800 navigation edition and Nokia 5230 released ahead of the event, what could be left to be announced at the real event. I am sure Nokia is not that dumb to first reveal all the biggest newsmakers ahead of the event. Hence GUYS WAIT FOR THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS TOMORROW . We all are worried about the life threatening risk which mobile radiation cause to human being. However, studies have not yet proved that how much effect does cell phone radiation has on human being, but the same is proved on Honey bees in Kerala , a state in India. It seems the harmful electro magnetic radiations from mobile towers have a potential to kill the worker bees that go out to collect nectar from flowers.

As per the initial test carried out, a plunge in beehive population has been reported from different parts of Kerala and if measures are not taken to check mushrooming of mobile powers, bees could be wiped out from Kerala within a decade, environmentalist and Reader in Zoology, Dr Sainudeen Pattazhy says in his study.

In one of his experiments he found that when a mobile phone was kept near a beehive it resulted in collapse of the colony in five to 10 days, with the worker bees failing to return home, leaving the hives with just queens, eggs and hive-bound immature bees.

Even though this problem is a big one, I wonder there is any solution available for the same. If electromagnetic waves can cause this much rish to honey bees, how much it might affect the humans. I feel its better that to whichever extent possible, avoid the usage of cell phones.

Samsung Omnia as we all know is a symbian s60v5 handset, and therefore practically all applications supporting S60v5 platform must automatically get compatible for Omnia too, except some application explicitly certified only for Nokia handset ( eg: Nokia Ovi maps ) . Symbian used to be very popular platform for application building and you have variety of range of application. Samsung has placed touchwiz UI over symbian platform to provide the widgety homescreen.

Unlike Nokia, Samsung app store might turn up only with applications. However, I am not sure whether Samsung actually needed an app store or its just the follow of trend, after all they dont have that many compatible phone in their portfolio. Quite possible it will be full of Java based application.
