Heard of splogs ?? i.e SPAM + BLOG = SPLOG.
Did you ever tried to find out who is stealing your content ?? Well !! I have heard and seen some blogs stealing the content without giving any link to the source… but stealing word to word content even with the title , just crosses the limit.
And now my blog has become a victim of one of these splogs ??Here I call other bloggers to check the whether they are also a victim of sploggers !!

Check out this site : http://roboticdegree.blogspot.com/ who has stolen word by word content of more than half a dozen posts this blog here at the archives

Check out the posts at above said blog copied directly from tecfre.com.

    1. Original post at tecfre.com: How to download stuffs from google
    spamming blog

2.Original Post at tecfre: Short Keys for MS office
    3. Cellphone blast news at tecfre
    spamming blog

4.The post which revealed this website to me : Orkut unblocking tricks
    spamming blog

    5. How to connect mobile to browse internet on desktop computer at Tecfre
    spamming blog

And after all these word to word copy from my blog .. I need to ask why there are no links to original posts ??

    spamming blog

How I came to know about this blog

Recently I posted an article on how to unblock orkut as it was blocked by the ISP at UAE. Once the page got cached at Google, I was the second when search for the term “unblock orkut UAE” . Recently my friend who was searching in Google , told me that there is one more site which has appeared above my blog result at google and has similar content. Well !! it was a bit shocking and little search in the website made me aware that there are lots of posts with same title copied word to word from my blog.
At the same time before posting , i thought ok , let me have a look whether I am the only vicitim of some other blogs posts are also stolen. So here I tag listkal to check his post about rid of annoying windows xp restart option and using toothpaste to remove CD ad DVD scratches, here and here respectively.
I would also like to tag teknobites to check the one of his post creating internet radio station stolen here.

There was an excellent post by arpit on 3+1 things a blogger should not do where the 1st and 3rd point clearly makes you aware of the pain when someone steal your content without giving the credit. Well !! its at times difficult to understand, till you yourself become a victim of such stuff.
Doesnt doing things like this make you feel guilty of being desperate for Blogging as posted by terence chang referring blogging mix ??

Well !! I think technorati and google blog search are the best blog search engines to find out whether your post is stolen is not. Many a times , the sploggers doesn’t change the original post title so when you search with your post title, at times you might be amazed to find that someone actually stole your content, without crediting you.
I have posted a comment asking the blogger to link the posts, but i would like to check other tech blogs also to check whether their content also got stolen.

Have you also been a victim of splogging?? If yes !! what measure did you take to combat it ??

    Kanak Bhandari,

Whatever steps you take to stop copy, people who copy will still copy. After some time, they will vanish off from the SE result automatically. So, don’t worry, just keep on blogging your good stuff. This coping-act usually happens for most of my blog posting. But most of the website were out of SEs now.

Many times, my contents were also stolen. 75% of the times, I managed to get the author remove the contents. I normally comment on the post/email the author to get it removed. Just a polite word will get the things done for you. But, word to word plagiarism did not happen.

    Kanak,
Did you contact the author about this? Recently I read a post on teknobites where the author who copied did not know how to give credit to the actual owner, the case could be similar here. There the author apologized and removed the content.

Kinda sad really. by the way leaving a link back to your website is useless since he has copied word for word. Report the blog to google and the adsense team.

@ashwin its feels really bad when there is word to word copying.

@nirmal well yeah .. i tried to contact the blogger and he said stealing was not his aim.. well !! he told he will put link and was calling it hotlink. But i just got mad when i saw so many posts that too word by word. Some other posts had link to original author and websites. Moreover as arpit said, it hardly makes any difference to put the link as its word by word copying.

@arpit : it just drove me insane, might be coz something like this i saw and experienced first time. well !! yeah let me c how to report this issue.
