Before announcing the winners, I would like to thank everybody who took part in the contest and made it a grand success. My heartiest congratulation to the winners of this contest which are as follows :

Everybody is a winner

With total 61 people taking part in the contest, the contest saw a huge success, but lost momentum in the end due to the long waiting period. This has given me a lesson that the contest should never take too long to finish. May be I will keep it in mind next time.

Anyways these things apart, with 3 declared as winner, left out guys are 58 and since 1000 ec were supposed to be divided between the contest entrants, non winners gets 1000/58 = 17 ( approx. ) EC credits.

Surprise , surprise , surprise

While deciding of distributing the credits among the contest entrants, my mind was thinking something else too. Winning a contest is purely based on luck and treating everyone ( non winners ) equally will be kind of injustice to guys who took extra effort for the contest. So here is a small surprise which goes as follows :

As you all know there were 5 ways to get an entry into the contest. So the number of credits distributed will be decided based on the following calculation.

17 + 17 * ( total activities done for the entries * 2 )

Hence :
Contestant who did all the 5 activities for the contest will get
17 + 17 * ( 5 * 2) = 187 credits.

Contestant who did 4 activities for the contest will get
17 + 17 * ( 4 * 2) = 153 credits.

Contestant who did 3 activities for the contest will get
17 + 17 * ( 3 * 2) = 119 credits.

Contestant who did 2 activities for the contest will get
17 + 17 * ( 2 * 2) = 85 credits.

Contestant who did 1 activity for the contest will get
17 + 17 * ( 1 * 2) = 51 credits.

Unless you leave the link of your entrecard account, I wont be able to transfer or give you the credit. The deadline to claim your prize is till the end of this month i.e march 31st 2008. If you are not leaving a comment here by that time, I wont be able to transfer the credits. I expect your co-operation in this regard.

P.S. : Many guys will be having doubts how the winners were choosen. The entrecard participants list was exported into excel with the number of entries. Same was then used in random list generator at random.org once to mix all the entries. Again the random list generator was used and top three entries were chosen as winners.
