Mobile concepts can actually give you an idea of the future mobile phones. Some concepts which seems to be too good to be true , and mobile giants like “Nokia ” , “Samsung” and “Sony” have also been producing concepts from time to time. Some have become reality like “Sony Ericsson Black diamond ” phone. Here you can see the various mobile phone concepts available :
1. Nokia Aeon
The concept phone, dubbed Aeon, combines two touch-sensitive panels mounted on a fuel-cell power pack. The handset’s connectivity and electronics are built into the panels to allow them to be used independendently. When assembled, one panel would operate as the display, the other as the keypad. Since the buttons are entirely virtual, Aeon can flip instantly between a numeric pad for dialling, a text-entry pad for messaging, or a media-player controller.

2. Nokia N99
This if is true, must be the true multimedia mobile phone.
9 way front joystick button, 16GB FLASH internal memory, up to 4GB mini SD slot, 16:9 3.2? wide screen, GPS, MP3, DIVX XVID MPEG AVI video reading, WLAN WIFI, qwerty pad, 8MP camera, 3CCD 720 pixel wide 30fps video capture.

3. Sony Ericsson chocolate
Sony Ericsson CyberShot concept phone that looks simply breathtaking. As slim as a credit card with a 3.2 megapixel camera, sleek slider design, and OLED touch sensitive keypad, this is a phone that would sell by the bucket load one the concept turns to reality.

4. Samsung SLIQ
The concept SLIQ Phone by Samsung introduces advanced touch interface which eliminates the conventional keypad making the overall usage experience a highly tactile one. An extra wide LCD screen maximizes visual impact, allowing the user to benefit from several key features of the phone, including the 2 megapixel camera featuring Schneider-Kreuznach lens, video player and document viewer capacity. Above all, these features contribute to the phone’s beautifully sleek and simplistic appearance.

5. Health Conscious Phone
Health Conscious Phone can smell and recognize foods eaten by their unique chemical signature. eNose technology is in charge of the process. It tracks and analyses info to let the user know what food groups he/she is missing. In addition the phone features unusual health-related design.

6. BYB balance Phone
features a slider mechanism that protects the two touchscreen displays when closed. You can flip it over and use the slider to turn the BYB Balance cellphone into a clock or a digital photo frame. Features include a 5.1 megapixel camera with auto focus and 2x optical zoom, 3G/HSDPA connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a GPS navigation system. Just in case the 512MB internal memory is not enough, there is always a microSD memory card slot for expansion options

7. Microsoft Ophone
Microsoft also jumped in the series of making of concept phones. That too declaring it kind of competitor for Iphone. Microsoft Ophone – fold-out device with circular text display and variable number placement, depending on user preference. It also doubles as a boomerang.

8. Asus Aura
Asus Aura offers movable navigation module with navigation buttons, another – a sliding QWERTY keyboard that should make text entry much easier.
Other features of Asus Aura include – 3,9? touchscreen covering the whole surface of the phone, 2 megapixel camera, microSD memory card slot, GSM, UMTS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. All of this in a 6mm thick package.
Unfortunately Asus Aura is just a concept so far and will stay that way probably a few years.

9. Google vision
Google Vision, it’s a concept developed BY UK designer Callum Peden. Google Vision features a handset-type device that opens out to reveal a retractable flexible screen. Callum’s idea is for the device to capture images through its camera and send them to Google automatically, together with GPS co-ordinates of the user’s location. Google will identify the object or the location and tell you what you’re looking at.

10. Customizable OLED phone
This latest concept phone designed by Chris Kujawski at yankodesign.com.
Utilizing a flexible Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) touch screen, Blank is based on the principle that the device that you carry with you most often should reflect your personality as much as the clothes you wear, car you drive or music you listen to. Since those may evolve from season to season, your phone needs to accommodate that. By providing you with a ‘blank slate’ in the form of the OLED touch screen that wraps the entire front of the phone, you are free to express yourself in any number of ways visually by downloading static or even kinetic skins that make your phone come to life, just the way you want it to.

What does it indicate ?
The concept phone at times gives a slight hint of what’s actually going to be the future of mobile phones. Though these look too good to be true !! But you should not forget , Iphone was also launched as a concept , but finally its a reality. This shows the creative thinking of the mobile giants and the concept designers ; and the technological enhancements already planned , or already phased for development.
