Its not one among the chain of restaurants, named Automatic Restaurants , its one of a kind, real automatic restaurant. This new restaurant in Nuremberg, Germany, has replaced its waitstaff with a completely automated system that delivers meals to diners via a gravity-powered rail system.
How the system works??
Every table is fitted with the touch screen computer where the diners places the order. After putting the order, the food arrives by the spiral slide, few minutes later. The following video will make things pretty clear how it works in realtime.
Well !! the restaurant owners says that it helps in saving money paid to waiters or waitress but I dont think this seems to be good option even though its innovative. First of all, it will always distract your attention whenever a food item is railed on the spiral slide, and hence not letting you eat peacefully. In the video it clearly signifies that people are not comfortable in even identifying whether the food item meant for them or for someone else. I dont think this would be a successful option for saving money for the restaurant owner, but for the diners who would be able to save some money, given as “tips” to the waiters.

Amazing Concept, but the restaurant looks congested due to the railings.
yeah, very congested and noisy
not sure how this thing will go. I think waiter’s always give a personal touch and good service will make you feel good which you won’t see. After all sometimes you just want to see a smiling face and railings won’t give you that

Nice way to attract more people, to get in more number of customers, but it surely doesnt fulfill that personal touch that a waiter can do.
@vaibhav yeah the personal touch given by waiters wont be available, and moreover it will be very difficult to convey your grievance also ..
