Ashwin’s logic does make sense at some level – but the whole point of MSP locking is to bring about more subscriptions. Since there is no “monopoly” persay with both Airtel and Vodafone launching the phone, there would exist some level of competition – and that should be able to keep prices at some decent levels.

Like Kanak said, guess we’d just have to wait and watch.

yeah bad for iphone fans in UAE. However, I would have loved to have an unlimited data plan on Iphone. With this step, I dont think Iphone will be launched in UAE in this decade…
