3.5g HSPA Networks enter Singapore : US getting ready for 4g and Wimax

With the ever growing mobile network technology there lies a gift for Singapore this weekend.

Singapore’s Starhub says that it will launch full HSPA service this weekend, offering up to 7.2Mbps downlink and up to 1.9Mbps uplink with the use of HSDPA and HSUPA technologies respectively.

The availability of 3.5g network is more or less about providing high speed broadband wirelessly over Singapore.
Initially 3g was capable of providing 384 kbit/s for mobile systems and 2 Mb/s for stationary systems.

Wimax , 4g network ready to enter US by 2008

4th Generation Network and Wimax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is getting ready to enter US by 2008.

Sprint will start initial construction on its WiMAX network by the end of 2007 and plans to launch the network in 2008 - offering 185 million subscribers 4G wireless data speeds up to 5x faster than current wireless networks. Sprint’s network will cover 75% of the 50 largest market in the US, while Clearwire(broad band service provider in US) will pick up coverage for about 115 million. subscribers. Sprint also has tied up google for delivering WIMAX service.

4G will be a fully IP-based integrated system of systems and network of networks achieved after the convergence of wired and wireless networks as well as computer, consumer electronics, communication technology, and several other convergences that will be capable of providing 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s, respectively, in outdoor and indoor environments with end-to-end quality of service and high security, offering any kind of services anytime, anywhere, at affordable cost and one billing.

Well this seems to be really good news for people who are power browser ( speed hungry ) of internet services. With the availability of 4g network, mobile internet will reach revolutionary hight.
